Critical Response 

  1. Choose your base text from the two poems assigned in Week 3. Review any notes or reflections you made while studying them.
  2. Brainstorm your reactions to the selected text. You can use this resource for support: Questions to Ask About Poems
  3. Outline the main points you want to emphasize in your critical response, then develop a logical flow for your ideas.
  4. Select support from the selected text that supports or illustrates your main points/opinions.
  5. Draft, edit, and revise your critical response.
  6. Review your file and formatting. Submit!

FORMAT: Basic MLA formatting, including a header, Times New Roman 12 pt font, etc

FILE TYPE: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

LENGTH: 3+ academic paragraphs
